3rd day!!

Fish and chips is very popular food in England. We ate cod fish and potato chips. It was little nausea, but I enjoyed it. I could ride ship for sightseeing Eiffel tower. I saw sparkling tower at 5'o clock. According to the guide, we can see sparkles once an hour.

2012/2/20
Swiss! I didn't think 5hour traveling was boring because I enjoyed scribbles on the wall. It was amazing. In Korea, we don't think scribbles as arts. I arrived at Belfort and went to Interlaken. I sled after the lunch.

After playing for an hour, we went to Italy. we saw churches made of sandstone. Duomo church.
Actually, I thought it was really nonsense when I heard that golden statue of Saint Mary was stolen by one thief who used....helicopter in broad daylight!!!!W.O.W...
I liked Italian food because it was spicy like Korean food. I liked spaghetti, pizza, and chicken. Chicken tasted like 닭도리탕(dak do ri tang) in Korea. They were all delicious. I liked escargot in Paris,too. I think foods in Europe are sweet and salty. However, Italian food suit Korean'taste.

I went to Bucking ham palace. It was pretty and I took many pictures with my family. I imagined what would happen if Korea becomes like England! Like long long time ago. In the palace, one soldier was wearing Big hat looked like..upside down U! I wanted to try it too!! I only saw the hat through books. According to our guide,The queen Elizabeth 2 goes to another palace on weekend. AFter that, I saw London bridge, Tower bridge and Big ben.In London, there are many fun buildings shaped like our thumb and I saw a tree made of iron stars and fruits!
I also went to British museum. There were mummies and some of pictures and statues from Parthenon temple. There was Korean Room, too. Japan wanted to built Japanese Room in the museum and gathered money for years, but Koreans heard that and gathered the money in two months.

A trip to Europe 1

2012/2/17 in London!

For our family trip, I went to Europe! I was really excited. I went to England, France, Swiss,and Italy. On Friday,2/17, I arrived at Heathrow airport. When I looked down from an airplane, I thought, 'This place is really different from Seoul! Seoul is full of lights and the lights are too messy, but England is very clean to see!' After I arrived at Heathrow airport, I went to the bus gate. The bus gate looked like 9 3/4 gate in Harry potter movie.
I slept in the hotel named 'Holiday express in London' It was really good Hotel! The bed felt really soft! I really like Europe, but one thing that I don't like is that I should buy water(There is no water fountain!!!) and give money to use toilet. Also... Hotel room is really really cold.However, I liked this hotel.


Note: Heathrow airport has five parts. Heathrow airport is really busy all the time.
This airport was like a coal of England's transportation.

with IPad... Anyway, How are you? I was pretty busy playing with my
friends... Our school vacation finished, so I had to wake up earlier.
Good news, was... My friends(they were not our school's student)transferred
to our school! Unfortunately, only one of them is in my class, but
She was once in our school, so I believe she won't be upset.

Have you ever done mean things to others?In the movie, 'Spring, summer,fall,winter and summer', Young monk ties a rock to frog,fish and a snake. The old monk ties a rock to the young monk and orders him to free all of those poor animals. The young monk becomes so sorry for the animals and apologizes to the animals from the heart. And the movie's first part Spring finishes.
 
   While watching this movie, I remembered my friend's case. One of my friend teased her like "you are very slow!" My friend became very furious and tried to catch her. Suddenly, she tripped over a rock and everyone laughed. Also, I once had a friend who says only bad things about others and she made friendships break. However, they found out and now we don't believe her words.

   In the movie, the old monk keeps looking at the young monk even though he has no transportation to follow him and I think he mentioned the god. The way he used was "an eye for an eye". I think the young monk learned his lesson for that.  I think it was little harsh (the rock was size of computer monitor) but very effective way to make somebody learn lesson.
   
    As a conclusion, I think old monk's strategy of teaching lesson was a good way. The young monk learned  the lesson and he will never forget it again. However, I think this strategy was effective because the young monk is young. If he had used this strategy to older students like about 16 years old, he might have been angry and forget why he is being punished.

My name is Cyndi and I live in a big house with my stepmother, Beyonce, and my two stepsisters, Kim tae hee and Angelina Jolie. The old tale about step families being ugly is just silly! Beyonce, Kim tae hee, and Angelina Jolie are absolutely awesome! In fact, Kim tae hee, Angelina Jolie, and I went to a dance last weekend. It was boring!

At the dance, I wore my pants and my rock necklace. Kim tae hee, Angelina Jolie, and I met this really beautiful guy named Justin Bieber. He was handsome because he was the president of the star craft club, and he wore a fun dress. I had a strange time talking with him.
I had a strange time, but I forgot my shirt at the dance. Luckily, Justin Bieber brought it back to our house. First, Kim tae hee tried it on, and it didn't match her ugly style. It looked really smelly! Then Angelina Jolie tried it on, and it was obviously not hers either. But then I tried it on, and it fit me slow! I thanked Justin Bieber and invited him to stay for a snack of Ramyun and Dduckbbocki. We have a lot in common. Who would have thought that a lost shirt would lead to a new friend?

Today, I'd like to tell you about the nuclear energy's merits and demerits. And, I hope you would have time to think about nuclear energy's two sides.

  These days, there are many issues about the nuclear energy. In Japan, recently the radiation leakage accident happened at nuclear power plants by the great earthquake on March 11, this year. Many people are still trying very hard to prevent melt down and stop the radiation leakage from the power plants.

  As you know well, a nuclear power plant at Chernobyl exploded and burned in 1986. At that time the nuclear reactor's pressure was much higher than usual and 'melt down' happened because of a failure in the system.

'Melt down' is a situation which the fuel rods start melting and radiation starts to escape. When 'melt down' happened in Chernobyl, thyroid cancer increased explosively among young children and 7000 people died form the nuclear accident. So, many environmentalists oppose the construction of nuclear power plants. In addition, even if we can make nuclear power plant safely, we don't know how to get rid of nuclear wastes yet. And, It's not easy to keep nuclear wastes because of NIMBY syndrome.

  Then, what is the happy and helpful way of using nuclear energy?

As society develops, more and more energy is needed because almost everything needs energy. One of the energy is Fossil fuels such as petroleum and coal which is a common energy. Unfortunately, fossil fuels release toxic substances, especially carbon that is one of the biggest causes of global warming and green house effect. Furthermore, the fossil fuels are limited and running down. To solve these problems, many scientists conceived alternative energy.

  Now, you might have recognized why I'm talking about the alternative energy. Yes. Nuclear energy is one of the alternative energy. We can produce a lot of nuclear energy with no harm effect to nature. Uranium makes nuclear energy when it fissions and we need only small amount of uranium to make nuclear energy. 1g of uranium is same as 9drums of petroleum or 3tons of coals. Can you imagine how powerful it is? Also, nuclear energy hardly releases carbon and it's becoming popular as green energy. You might think, 'We can use solar energy, wind energy or other energy.' Yet, solar energy and wind energy is not enough as we need more and more energy like I have said. Therefore, nuclear energy is useful because we can make lots of it and it is green energy.

  Did you know that there are other uses of nuclear energy?

With radioactivity, we can heal cancer. Radioactivity isotope that has a lot of gamma rays is used for diagnosing cancer because gamma rays have character of going through. And, radioactivity isotope that has a lot of beta rays are used for killing cancer cells.Like this, nuclear energy is also helpful to modern medical science.

  Nuclear energy also gives influence to food productivity. We can protect foods from toxic substances by doing radiation irradiation. Is it harmful to food because the food is exposed to radiation? According to scientists, if they control the amount of radioactivity, there are no harm. ???Also, they can transform seeds of food. They are making rice that is strong at wind or rice that can have lots of seeds. If they develop seeds of food, they will be able to help hungry people across the world.

  Nuclear energy is very dangerous for us, but also very useful. I think we have to study and develop the nuclear energy. Who knows? I might become a great nuclear physicist. When I become nuclear physicist, I will improve nuclear energy and make it safer. Then, nuclear energy will be true green energy that delivers happiness all around the world.

The power of the positive

Thinking affects people a lot. Negative people think negatively all the time and becomes unhappy. However, positive people can change his or her present life and future. Happiness depends on how people think about themselves and their life.

For an example, there were two farmers. One day, they were working in their farm. When both worked almost half of it, one farmer thought, 'I had done half already! Now, only half is left.' and he smiled. However, another one thought, 'Oh, now I have done half. I'll not be able to finish this today. Ah, it's to hard.' and he was unhappy. The difference between two farmers is only that one thought positively and the other one thought negatively. Even though the difference was only their thinking methods, one became happy and the other one became unhappy.

  In life, there are unhappy days not only happy days. Also, we have to do hard works and sometimes, we become lonely, too. If we think and act positively, we will be able to overcome all the adversities easily and become more happy and healthy. Thinking and acting positively is true power that makes people happy. No one comforts a sad person with negative words. People say positively to give confidence and happiness to sad and lonely people. So, what is the way to be positive?

  First, we have to thank past things. Failure is the mother of success, I'm sure that you all know this. We have to be better by thinking why you have failed. We can never change our past like history. However, if we think positively, it can be important experience that is one step to the success.

   Second, we have to enjoy the present. Don't waste your precious time to regret past and worry about future. Think about it, aren't you wasting your precious time? Enjoy the present and don't lose hope of the future if you want to reach your goal.

Third, don't lose hope even if you're tired. If you're tired, think about beautiful memories and get composure. After the winter, spring comes. So spring will come to my life, too.'

Positive mind is the way to happiness. Positive mind can change our life and make our life more beautiful and happy. If you try to be positive, you'll be able to achieve happy, healthy and beautiful life.  Finally, always believe you. You can do it! When you feel you are nothing, think again. 'I'm important and I can do it!' Even if others say you can't do it, it doesn't matter. What you think is important.

Few days ago, I saw Rebecca Black's music video. Rebecca Black's song Friday
became one of the popular viral videos. I think the song is good. It never goes away
from my mind. Do you know what is viral video? According to the dictionary,viral video
is video that is very famous and it spreads like a virus. Can you think of a reason why
this became popular? Well. In my opinion, the lyrics of the song is one of the causes.
'Friday' keeps repeat in the song.

Rebecca black became a famous girl  overnight. I think it isn't good. I heard that
 she is only 13 years old.

However, she has make-up and because many friends tease her, she couldn't go
 to school. I wondered,

'Is it a good choice?'

Well, In my opinion, Rebecca is only 13 years old. If she meets success from the youth,

she might be hard to live if she meets the fail. I couldn't understand her mother because

Rebecca should do homeschooling because her friends teased her constantly.

What did she expect?  Rebecca being like Justin bieber? However, it is like gambling.

It might have made her life miserable. Don't you think so? I can't just blame her because

13 and almost everyone can dream of becoming famous people. Maybe it can be a problem.

These days, many teenagers want to become cool guy like some characters of books about

popular teenagers. According to news, some of the teenagers had club of popular teenagers and

teenagers good at fighting . They had it for many years and did bad crimes like adults.

Lastly, I want to talk about teenager entertainers. There are a lot of teenagers dream of being

a singer. I don't want to say that becoming entertainer is bad, but I think teenagers should know that

real world is hard. There is no proof that they can succeed when they become an entertainer. People

might make them feel miserable by making rumors. For an example, there were some rumors about

4minute's hyun a like she was pregnant,etc. I'm not a fan of her, but I don't think we are able to make

rumors like that. Everyone is not perfect! Don't you think so? When they don't do plastic surgery,

we hate them because they are ugly and if they do, we call them "You are fake!" Just like that. I

hope many people can think about others first before we talk about them badly. Who knows?

They might look strong, but maybe they aren't.

Recently, I saw Nyan cat, one of the viral video.

At first, I thought t was very silly because it kept saying,

"Nyan nyan nyan nyan..."on and on and on for almost

4minutes! However, I became one of the followers of nyan cat!

I can't say the right cause, but in my opinion, I think it is because

of lyrics. Just like Friday!

However, I think it can make us bored after watching it more.

I think viral video like Nyan cat would not be remembered by

 people after months after because they just make us interested

 about it by having lyrics on and on. There were some other

videos like nyan cat like nyan zebra or nyan bieber, but I think the

best one was Nyan cat original, Nyan cat alive, Nyan Rebecca black

(because I liked matching sounds of nyan song and Friday) and

Nyan cat attacking.



Teenager's club

Recently, teenagers were arrested by police. Do you know why?
Some of the teenagers made club of famous teenagers(in school)

and teenagers good at fighting and have done lots of crimes like adults.

Such as making victims faint before agonizing them. The club was made
long time ago and it was handed over to head of the teenagers. Also,
in Korea, there is shuttle, the students who should do anything the student

with higher rank says to do so. These days, there are wifi shuttle,too! Students who became a wifi shuttle should produce hot-spot for the high rank students.  I think it is not right. Even if they might look cool, when they go out in the society, there will be a problem. Also, when they behave badly, they won't be able to look as a good person after long times. I hope this kind of situation never happens again.
